My Sister Christi is Awesome - Part 2

One thing I never grow tired of is gushing about my sister Christi.

Christi Parsons, White House correspondent for the Chicago Tribune.

She started her journalistic career as the editor for the Central High School Falcon Flyer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. And look at her today! She covers the President of the United States.

She flies on Air Force One, you know.

I was perusing her bookshelf last summer and I found this one book that looked interesting. So I started flipping through it and I found the bookmark was a menu from Air Force One.

As a bookmark?!

In my house that menu would be framed and hanging above the mantle!!!

This is probably why they don't let me on Air Force One.

So anyway, Christi recently appears on the Gwen Ifill show. Please watch her here and leave me a comment telling me how smart and GORGEOUS she is.

I know, I totally know.

WOW! That is soooooooooo cool! And I love that she has an Air Force One menu as a bookmark, it's just so nonchalent, like it's run of the mill. Awesome!

By the way, I really enjoy your blog - I've been terrible for commenting recently, but I'm working to change that!

WOW that is so freakin' AWESOME. Seriously awesome!!!

FYI - we had our FIRST real class tonight at Financial Peace University.

All I can say is...absolutely awesome. AWESOME, I say. And all I could think about was telling YOU how awesome it was! I'll try to blog about the 'extras' that we got out of the first class.

Until then, good night!!!

Thanks Sarah and Betsy for joining my Christi fan club. :)

And thanks too Betsy for all the info about FPU. I'm really going to give it a try.

add me to the list of fans... christi is inspiring in so many ways. the way that speaks to me most nowadays is how she applies her intelligence, values, and critical thinking skills to offering good information to people so they can use it to make decisions consistent with their own values. i have a greater and greater appreciation for how important her job is to readers. plus, she's a loving mom and wife and sister and daughter and aunt and sis-in-law. thanks for posting this, mel!

OK I watched the video link and Christi is awesome. Sad that I go to Chicago once or twice a year and have not chased her down. My father-in-law even used to work for the Tribune.

That being said, Christi has still never beat me at Trivial Pursuit. And YES that is a challenge! You hear that Christi! I am not afraid!
